What is a SDK? Continue reading DAHUA SDK — Bespoke Software Solutions
SDK is an acronym for Software Development Kit and is, usually, a client side library that facilitates usage of an API. In our case, it facilitates the use of the API presented by DAHUA products.
Our brilliant Software Engineers have developed some applications that can be used to create timelapse snapshots for DAHUA devices:
- Windows: a Windows-based application, that resides in the System Tray and captures snapshots at your defined rate
- Linux: a Linux-server based application, without a GUI, that captures snapshots and, also, can make animated gifs (with the option to upload / synchronize them with a website); of course, if needed, we can also provide longer videos created from the snapshots
- ARM/Embedded: an embedded device version that can be used with ARM-based embedded devices

Q: What client should I use?
A: That depends.
An older DVR could be used with PSS (Professional Surveillance System).
A newer DVR could be used with Smart PSS (Smart Professional Surveillance System).
For specific applications, tailored clients, integrated clients with other solutions or any other customized client you can contact us — we can develop one according to your specifications.
We have tested and developed a solution that permits an user to integrate DAHUA devices into YouTube Live streaming services. This way, the camera can be shared across different clients or can be embedded into webpages. Or even used for webinars & other casts.
