DAHUA DVR Reset Button
The DVRs don’t have a `general reset button`. But, if you have forgotten your password, you can use our reset password service and then reset the device through the dedicated Settings Menu.

Broadly speaking, there are two simple ways to reset your IP Camera:
-using an external reset button, if the camera provides one
-using an internal reset button – you will have to disassemble the camera for this

A: The simplest way to get rid of this is to power cycle the device ( power off and then power on again ).

DAHUA Telnet Reset
Q: How do I reset the device via telnet?
A: After you login via telnet, issue these commands:
# rm -rf /mnt/mtd/Config/
# rm -rf /mnt/mtdbak/Config/
# reboot
Most Newer DVRs / NVRs / HCVRs do not support resetting via telnet. For these devices, we recommend our DAHUA Password Resetting service.
Dahua Reset
Q: Can you reset a DAHUA device?
A: Yes, you can reset a DAHUA device to default settings, but you’ll need to login into the device and access the Settings Menu.
Pass Reset
Q: I have a costumer with a 16 channel Dahua DVR. But he lost the admin password. Is there any way to reset this of the whole DVR to default.
A: Yes, it is, using the master password. Also, you will not lose any current settings.
