If your camera’s account(s) have been locked, the simplest way is to either reboot it or to wait for at least 30 minutes before you retry. Also, be aware that someone – maybe a hacker – might try to login to your camera using an invalid password.
Q: What client should I use?
A: That depends.
An older DVR could be used with PSS (Professional Surveillance System).
A newer DVR could be used with Smart PSS (Smart Professional Surveillance System).
For specific applications, tailored clients, integrated clients with other solutions or any other customized client you can contact us – we can develop one according to your specifications.
Q: Why do I get “Login Return Time is Up”?
A: There might be a bad network configuration or a misconfigured firewall. Also, if you are using NAT / Port Forwarding, please check that the ports are forwarded accordingly – TCP or UDP, not TCP+UDP.
Question: What are the default passwords on DAHUA devices?
Answer: The default passwords are as same as the username, as in:
admin -> admin
888888 -> 888888
666666 -> 666666 (only DVR/NVR/HCVR local access)
If you have forgotten your password, you can use our DVR / NVR password recovery service.
Q: How do I reset the device via telnet?
A: After you login via telnet, issue these commands:
# rm -rf /mnt/mtd/Config/
# rm -rf /mnt/mtdbak/Config/
Most Newer DVRs / NVRs / HCVRs do not support resetting via telnet. For these devices, we recommend our DAHUA Password Resetting service.
